What does KMG Services do/provide?
We are an enrollment and billing service for benefit brokers, general agents, or any benefits manager or sales agent. As a benefits manager, managing benefits for employer groups and individuals can be a full-time job. We do all the work so the broker can sell or so the HR person can focus on more important aspects of human resource. We’ll build, manage your business intake, and provide a white labeled platform. Or as an integrated partner with Employee Navigator you can save by using our license to perform the work on your behalf. Why hire, train and manage people when KMG Services can do it for you for a fraction of the costs and allow you to go out and spend more time selling.
What makes KMG Services different?
Since we partner with multiple technologies, we not only perform the services necessary for the agency/group to run smoothly, but can also handle the commission payments and tracking to agents payments to vendors, and consolidated billing by utilizing those multiple technologies. We learned there are several good options out there but not “all in one” place. KMG brings that value to the broker and their clients. Lastly, typically we see companies like ours that offer a service but with the caveat that they own the data since they are performing the service. KMG Services doesn’t believe that. We believe that the data is ours to manage ONLY. If the client wants to leave our services for one reason or another, we don’t hold the data. We’ll turn the data back over to the client without question.
Can any size employer participate?
Yes. Our program is most beneficial to the smaller employers/brokers trying to manage multiple benefit vendors, multiple retiree payments, payment collections, and benefits to numerous 1099 contractors.
How do I pay for a voluntary benefit?
KMG Services accepts ACH/Bank draft, Credit Card, and Paper Check as methods of payments, but this is up the client on which payment methods to accept.
What if the payroll department doesn’t want to add another deduction line to the payroll but you’d like to add another benefit?
KMG Services can help by bundling benefits together into one aggregate amount. If you have 3 vendors at $10, $25, and $35 (respectively) but with limited deduction lines for payroll then we can bundle them together into one deduction of $70.
Can the agent/broker earn additional revenue?
Absolutely! For any service the broker is promoting, the broker can build in an additional fee into the price of the product that will be paid out monthly to the broker once the funds are collected from the client.
How does this benefit an Association or Chamber of Commerce?
An Association can now offer benefits as a way of attracting new members and retain current members. An added benefit is that the Association or Chamber of Commerce can create an additional revenue stream by receiving a built-in fee, each month, to each and every sale.
Who is the target client?
Our services are marketed toward Individuals, Employers, Associations, Chambers of Commerce, PEO’s or benefit carriers seeking to fill this need. If you have a specific situation, please contact us to discuss.
What is the minimum enrollment count for a new group?
One. KMG will accept enrollments down to one life so long as the vendor allows it.
Are these benefits offered through KMG Services?
No. KMG Services does not provide benefits. KMG provides billing and enrollment management for the benefits. All benefits are between the provider/carrier and the employer/individual.
On behalf of what carriers/benefit plans will KMG Services handle the billing management?
We will be happy to engage with any carriers/vendors brought to us and set up a simple process.
What happens when a member terminates employment?
Much like any group policy or group benefit, once employment is terminated the benefit will terminate. The only exception is individuals that are sold directly with no ties to an employer or group of any sort. These individuals can take the plans with them as the contract with KMG is direct with the individual.
How does the invoice get updated after an employee termination?
Once an employee is terminated, the broker or the employer will notify KMG Services so we can update our enrollment records and be able to correctly reconcile the invoices.
What if an individual doesn’t pay for a month or is late on payment?
Payments are remitted to vendors once per month. If a payment is submitted after the cut-off, the payment will be in queue for the following month. Terminations and enrollments are based on the vendor’s policies.
How often does KMG Services attempt to collect the enrollee’s monthly payment?
After a declined transactions occurs, KMG will send an automated declined notice to the member and/or agent at that time. Another notification is sent at the 7 day, 14 day, 21 day and 30 day mark.
Will KMG Services terminate a policy due to non-payment?
Yes, but only in accordance with the carrier’s policy.
